Dataprise and Microsoft are offering a hands-on lab and workshop to help you unlock the power of Azure. Taught by Microsoft cloud specialists, this personalized session will demonstrate how Azure can improve your organization's agility, flexibility and security.

This Workshop will Cover the Following:

  • Azure Identity Management: What are the benefits of using Azure for identity management and how is it being deployed today?
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Solutions from Azure: In the second half of our discussion, we’ll cover Disaster Recovery and Business continuity solutions from Azure, focusing on Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Creating an Azure Tenant and Implementing Your First Workloads: In a guided workshop, Dataprise and Microsoft will assist you in creating an Azure tenant if you don’t have one and will connect it to your live environment.

  • 11am-12:00pm: Azure Identity Management, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Solutions Workshop
  • 12:00pm-12:30: Lunch and Roundtable Discussion
  • 12:30pm-2pm: Azure Lab* (Setup Azure tenant, connect on-prem active directory to Azure active directoy, deploy Azure backup)

*If you’d like to participate in the lab, please have credentials for your on-premise Active Directory, or for an AD Lab you have that we can use. Also, please have remote administrative access to at least one server you’d like to back up to Azure, as a demonstration.

Meet the Presenters:

Evan Doty, Microsoft Systems Architect, Dataprise

Evan joined Dataprise in 2013 as a Project and Program Manager working on the Enterprise Services Team. By the end of 2013, Evan began working as a Microsoft Systems Architect, first on the Strategic Partnerships team and now with Enterprise Design. In this role, he works closely with Microsoft and Dell, providing guidance on new technologies and how to best implement them. 

Brendan Thompson, Principal Architect - Project Services, Dataprise

Brendan is a Principle Architect for the Dataprise Project Management Office (PMO) as well as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Master (MSM) with twenty years of experience working with Microsoft Technologies, and specializing in helping customers take advantage of the Microsoft Cloud.
