Dataprise CEO Steve Lewis

“No single individual is responsible for creating an inclusive culture - it takes a commitment from everyone - but it starts with me. I believe when we listen and celebrate what is both common and different across everyone on our team that we become wiser, stronger, and far better as an organization. It is important to me that every person at Dataprise feels heard and represented and they have room to thrive. I am encouraged by the diverse makeup of our company today, but we can – and must – do more. The goal of our DEI Program is to work towards creating more opportunity across all levels. Doing so will lead to a more dynamic and unified organization.”

Women at Dataprise

We are proud of the fantastic work our female employees contribute throughout the organization and feel the women of Dataprise play an integral role in the company’s success.

Our hope is that Dataprise continues to raise awareness to women about how gratifying working in the technology industry can be and keeps empowering more women to consider a career in technology for themselves. We’re happy to say that we've continued to hire more women every year, with 16% of our 2020 hiring being women. We are working hard to ensure this number only increases over time.

No matter where you are in your career, or what technology you want to focus on, Dataprise offers a broad range of support, programs, and resources to advance women in technology.

DEI Strategy 4 Key Aspects of our DEI Strategy

Leadership

Executive sponsorship is the #1 indicator of a business initiative's success. That's why we sought and obtained buy-in from Dataprise CRO Steve Roth; his proven track record of driving and growing diverse teams makes him the perfect leader to sponsor this important initiative.

“Leadership means you understand the significance of inclusion regardless of race, color or creed. Leadership also means you recognize the individualism of each team member for their unique strengths and weaknesses with support, guidance and never-ending opportunity.”

Steve Roth, Chief Revenue Officer

Attract

We’ve made some recent key adjustments to our talent acquisition strategy, including creating more inclusive job descriptions and leveraging our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) analytics to identify under-represented groups and use that data to post jobs to a sites that may attract more diverse talent.

"Dataprise offers ALL employees the opportunity to engage through various programs and initiatives for continued professional and personal development. It is imperative that we listen to our employee’s needs, career goals, and aspirations while offering these programs designed to help them succeed. Giving every employee a voice and making sure they feel heard helps us become better as an organization. I’m proud of how diverse of a workforce we have as I believe it is a key to our continued success as a company."

Peter Walla, Director, TEC Operations

Hire

The Talent Acquisition team at Dataprise prioritizes hiring from a diverse talent pool by posting jobs to a wide-range of job sites that attract candidates from all backgrounds, establishing relationships with colleges and universities that have a large minority population, and by partnering with organizations that empower minorities and under-represented communities.

“Our people represent our largest investment and our most valuable asset. We believe in attracting the best talent, empowering employees to reach their full potential, and fostering a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment where they can thrive. We work hard to cultivate a culture where everyone can bring their full and authentic selves to work each day. Having a variety of experience and perspectives makes us stronger – as individuals and as an organization.”

Marissa Withers, Vice President of Human Resources

Retain

We'll push to retain our diverse talent by forming a DEI committee to serve as diversity ambassadors who will ensure the DEI strategy is executed on. Likewise, we'll conduct consistent data analysis to analyze our culture, implement additional perks/benefits that cater to a diverse and inclusive workforce, for minority groups within Dataprise, and more.

“With the formation of the DEI committee, we are investing time on specific focus areas that allow us to attract, build and retain a diverse workforce. We are creating workspaces of inclusion and promoting equity to ultimately set the atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. We feel everyone should be afforded the opportunity to realize their full potential and be given a sense of belonging regardless of their race, identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or background. Dataprise is working hard to ensure that none of the above matters and what does matter is one’s ability to perform and flourish in their given role.”

Hezron Prince, Junior Service Delivery Manager and DEI Committee Lead
