Tell us your story on how you got into technology

I’ve never really been a “techy” person, but I’ve always had this curious side to me. Watching how much technology changes and advances over time, and the way it helps people amazes me. That’s what got me hooked and made me want to explore the tech world further.

Did you always know that working in technology was what you wanted to do?

If you had asked me during my college graduation if I would pursue a career in IT, I likely wouldn’t have envisioned this path for myself. However, witnessing the success of individuals in my life within this industry, I realized they were not only accomplishing their personal goals but also driving significant growth and success for their companies and that excites me!

How long have you been with Dataprise?

I have been with Dataprise for about 8 months.

Can you share a little bit about what it is that you do and what a typical day for you is like?

During a typical day, my main focus revolves around communicating with customers to understand their needs. I collaborate with our internal teams to leverage their expertise. This allows us to deliver thoughtful recommendations and effective solutions that align with our customers’ goals.

What advice would you give to women considering a career in the tech industry? What do you wish you had known?

For women contemplating a career in the tech industry, my advice is to have confidence in your skills and abilities. You don’t have to be a tech genius to excel in this field. What matters most is your willingness to learn, coupled with the courage to ask questions and seek support from the experts around you.

Why do you think it’s important for more women to join the tech industry? How can the broader community support women in tech?

Technology shapes the future! Women’s voices and perspectives will play a huge part in technology as it continues to advance. The broader community can support women in tech by encouraging collaboration and inclusion.

What do you think is the best part of being a woman in the tech industry?

The best part about being a woman in the industry is being taken seriously and making a positive impact. There is never a boring day at work! As a working mother, it is also a flexible career that allows me to attend my daughter’s sports games and continue to support her. I can do all of that and still be able to return to work, focus, and complete all tasks.

What is it that you enjoy most about your current job at Dataprise?

The thing I enjoy the most about my current job is working with an awesome, supportive team.

What is the best professional advice you’ve ever received?

The most impactful advice I’ve ever received, both in my personal and professional life, is this: “You will never regret doing the right thing.”

Where do you see yourself going from here?

I am excited to continue advancing my skills and expertise as an Account Executive at Dataprise, and to make significant contributions that have a positive impact on the company’s success.
