Outlook Notifications Delayed and how to fix

Table of content

Now that Outlook has integrated with Windows 10 notifications, some users are finding that the notifications don’t show up right away like they did when Outlook was taking care of this itself. While this fix doesn’t make the issue go away entirely, it does clear it up until your next update. Here’s how to get your Outlook notifications on Windows 10 coming in close to real time:

  1. Click Start
  2. Click the gear icon for settings
  3. Click System
  4. Click Notifications & actions
  5. Under “Get notifications from these senders,” turn off Outlook
  6. Reboot the PC
  7. Open Outlook
  8. Click Start
  9. Click the gear icon for settings
  10. Click System
  11. Click Notifications & actions
  12. Under “Get notifications from these senders,” turn on Outlook
