Alan Brenner, chief financial officer (CFO) of Dataprise, Inc., has been named one of Greater Washington, D.C.’s top-ten “Smartest CFOs” by Washington SmartCEO Magazine. Judges of the competition selected Brenner from multiple nominations that recognized area CFOs who stand out from the rest.

Dataprise solves the technology challenges of small to medium-size businesses by helping organizations manage their networks and leverage their technology investments. Brenner has played an integral role in Dataprise’s growth and financial ascent, primarily though his expertise in creative growth management and mergers and acquisitions.

“We’re so pleased to see Alan honored as a top-ten CFO,” said David Eisner, Dataprise’s president & CEO. “From re-orchestrating our M&A strategy, to designing a new budget forecasting model, he has directly impacted our company’s financial integrity and success.”

Brenner was also recognized for his community involvement, industry leadership and personal accomplishments. For instance, he is the treasurer and past chair of the Board of Directors for St. Lukes House based in Montgomery County, MD, and he sits on various other non-profit boards and committees. Brenner also is an actor, musician and songwriter known in many circles as “The Singing CPA.”

Brenner will be featured in the April issue of Washington SmartCEO.
