Dataprise Announces the Passing of its Chief Financial Officer, Alan Brenner

Dataprise, Inc. (http://www.dataprise.com), a Rockville-based leading information technology services provider and systems integrator, announced today the passing of Alan Brenner, Chief Financial Officer on Thursday, October 22, 2009.

President & CEO David E. Eisner said “I’ve lost a trusted and valued friend. Alan’s intelligence, vision and kindness touched everyone he met. I will miss him greatly.”

Mr. Brenner joined the company in 1999 as corporate controller. Later he was named Vice President of Finance and in 2005 Chief Financial Officer.

In 2007, Mr. Brenner was recognized as one of the Washington DC areas “Top-Ten Chief Financial Officers” by SmartCEO magazine.

Mr. Brenner was a gifted musician and songwriter known in many circles as “The Singing CPA”. He sat on numerous charitable boards including serving as the past CEO for St. Lukes House of Montgomery County, an organization focused on providing community wide mental health services. He was a local PTA president and also participated in reading to disadvantaged school children at Everybody Wins! in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Mr. Brenner is survived by his wife and three children and many friends throughout the community.

Dataprise has established a web site at http://www.dataprise.com/brenner and a scholarship fund to help pay future educational expenses for Alan’s three children Willy, Adina and Josh.
