For many companies, medical costs can consume half of corporate profits – or more. It has become vital for us to focus on contributing and being an advocate for a healthy workplace – not only to save money but for other pertinent reasons.

Dataprise has made it a priority to sustain and increase participation in our health and wellness program, which offers comprehensive activities and support for our employee’s physical and emotional needs.  Some benefits to our employee health and wellness programs include reduced absenteeism, reduced health care claims, reduced employee turnover, improved productivity and morale — resulting in an overall return on investment for the company.

Dataprise Health and Wellness:

  • Team Sports
Every year we coordinate team sports such as softball, kickball, bowling, soccer etc.
  • Events
Employees are encouraged to sign up for certain charity walks, runs, and participation in events such as “National Trails Day.”
  • Employee Assistance Program
There is free & confidential assistance for all employees and family members. Counselors are available to help resolve any personal problems such as life management issues, emotional problems/mental health issues, job related problems, and much more.
  • Annual Health Challenge
Every year employees sign up for a challenge such as “The Biggest Loser” or “The President’s Challenge” we offer rewards for employees that participate and a grand-prize for the winner.
  • Weekly Tips
Each week, HR sends out a ‘tip’ to help employee’s make healthier choices. The tips range from new healthy recipes, how to manage stress, or new workout ideas.
  • Gym/Exercise Membership Discounts
Employee’s are offered a corporate discount for local gym memberships and yoga class packages.
  • Fully Stocked Kitchen
We always have a fully stocked kitchen with primarily healthy foods such as fresh deli meats, fruits, vegetables, whole grain bread, filtered water and healthy snacks so employees eat out less and make healthy decisions

As our program continues to grow, we want to develop more convenient resources and activities for our employees. We look forward to cultivating our wellness program and in the future we plan to bring in specialists such as a nutritionist, fitness coach, or a financial planner to talk about ways to live a healthy, active, stress-free lifestyle. Implementing this program stands as a long-term answer to keeping employees happy and healthy in the workplace.
